Welcome to 2025 GUCDC

We would like to extend our gratitude to all our partners for your support. Last year's GUCDC (The 8th Global Career Development Conference (China)) was a great success, attracting more than 100 career officers from global universities and HR professionals from Chinese enterprises. The conference featured a diverse range of topics with rich content, with a particular focus on providing recruitment solutions for overseas returnees in the post-pandemic era. By bringing together professional talents from around the globe, GUCDC once again showcased China's increasing prominence in overseas graduate research and recruitment, highlighting its growing maturity as a leader in the industry.

The 2025 Global University Career Development Conference (China) will be jointly held in Shanghai and Xi’an, renowned as "China's Ancient Capital," from May 10th to 16th, 2025. This year's conference will delve into deeper international student employment topics, shedding light on the latest trends across various industries in China. We'll explore how enterprises' talent needs are evolving amidst economic fluctuations, emphasizing the demand for versatile and practical talents. Additionally, we'll examine the impact of AI tools' widespread adoption in traditional recruitment processes and the overall recruitment market. Drawing from recruitment practices over the past few years, we and employers have observed that the majority of international talents are ill-prepared to navigate these changes effectively. This leads to significant shortcomings in job-seeking and subsequent workplace adaptation. Therefore, it's crucial to address the shortage of international students and identify areas requiring urgent improvement. We eagerly anticipate engaging with delegates to discuss key initiatives aimed at tackling the challenges surrounding international student employment.

Highlights of the conference include:

1. Engaging with industry experts to grasp the latest trends in various sectors in China, alongside the evolution of the recruitment market due to the widespread use of AI tools. We'll also explore key initiatives aimed at tackling challenges in international student employment.

The Great Prosperity of the Tang Dynasty

Xi'an, as one of China's 6 ancient capitals with the longest history, has seen the establishment of thirteen dynasties throughout its history. Apart from the world-renowned Terracotta Army of the Qin Dynasty over two thousand years ago, it was also the capital of the prosperous Tang Dynasty, which had a profound influence on Chinese civilization and even East Asian civilization. Countless architectural styles, literary works, and language customs bear the imprint of the Tang Dynasty. It's an honor for this year's GUCDC Award Ceremony to be held in this historic city. Our ceremony will be designed in the style of the Tang Dynasty, incorporating elements of ancient Chinese clothing, music and dance, cuisine, and more, allowing everyone to experience the grandeur of the Golden Age of the Tang Dynasty.
